About Stephanie
I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals, whether it is passing a test or getting higher class grades. I know how difficult school/tests can be, because I myself am a college student at New York University. My goal is to make it easier for students to understand the material.
I have 2 years of experience working with students who want to get a higher math score in the ASVAB, which is a test that people take to enlist in the United States armed forces. The math section consists of mainly algebra 1 word problems as well as a bit of geometry. All of my students have scored 10-15 points higher than their original score after my tutoring.

I first talk to them for about 10-15 minutes online and hear about their academic goals, or what they are trying to achieve through tutoring. This is free of charge. This is mainly for me to get to personalize each student's sessions and for me to plan out each lesson plan.
I have worked with students ages 14-23, and of different backgrounds, whether they are a current high school student or full-time worker. This means I am very flexible with the times of sessions, whether it is very early in the morning or very late in the night. I have also worked with students of all different skill levels. Some of my students already came to me with basic math skills but others needed a refresher so I have no problem in teaching the basics first.
