About Amit
As an engineering graduate, I realize the importance of having great teachers by your side to guide you through difficult subjects. I believe the best teachers are those who empower their students with smart study tactics and strengthen a student's basic concepts. This allows a student to become self-reliant and allows him or her to study effectively without permanently needing a tutor. I hope to do that with my students.
I have tutored many of my peers in high school and college in various subjects. Some of these subjects are Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, Trigonometry, Geometry, Physics, American History, and SAT math. In addition, I continue to tutor some of my family friends' kids. Through all the teaching sessions, I aim to keep the student engaged and challenged (but not overwhelmed). I also assign homework at the end of each session to reinforce the material and periodic assessments to track a student's progress. In addition to all this, I aim to make the subject fun so the student starts enjoying it. I have seen many students achieve their potential and improve their grades.

1.) I first like to first set up a conversation to understand what exactly does the student need and if I can help.
2.) If both parties feel that it makes sense to move forward, I set up a lesson. At the end of each lesson, I request feedback if the session was helpful, and suggest what I feel should be covered in the next session.
