I've always enjoyed helping others reach their academic goals. I really developed a knack for it when I volunteered as a tutor for the Birmingham City Schools while in college. I thoroughly loved helping these students and decided that I would start a business targeting this work. Working with Magic City Tutoring gives me the joy I found while volunteering many years ago.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, with minors in chemistry and biology. The other tutors who work for Magic City Tutoring LLC have majored in mathematics, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and other advanced STEM courses. All of the tutors have had at least 2 years of tutoring experience.

About the lesson

When a student decides to work with us, we first pair them with the tutor that will best meet their academic needs. We always begin our first session addressing the goals of the student, whether they are trying to reach a certain grade or achieve a higher ACT score. After discussing this, we hit the ground running to help the student achieve their potential!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Always consider how one tutor will be different than the other; you're not going to want to hire a run-of-the-mill tutor if you expect your student to academically improve. That's why we match a new student to a tutor that will fit them best. If for some reason the fit wasn't right, the student can always have a new tutor! Whether or not you choose Magic City Tutoring LLC, we highly encourage you to take this advice.

These guys are amazing! Nick and Ed both tutored me for the ACT and both had a huge impact! They teach the material well for all aspects and do a great job of explaining how you get the answers! They helped me out a lot with test strategies and were super nice guys who could teach any student to succeed. They are well worth the time and I’m so glad they could help me out as much as they did for the ACT! Might have to go back to them for year around subjects.
