About Bruce

At ABC Educational Consultants, I don't just tutor, I teach my students to tutor the subjects they master.

I enjoy that aha! Moment. It's priceless to help someone through a problem and to leave them with a new found sense of confidence.

As an engineering physics student, I helped students in my classes with concepts, homework problems, research papers, test prep and online classes. I enjoy seeing a student when they finally understand how to get a solution. The only thing that I like more about tutoring is when one of my students tell me that they can help others as I have helped them.

Masters in nanoengineering and a bachelor's in engineering physics. Taught in public schools, community colleges, universities and Mathnasium . Stem Tutor, research papers, public presentations and test prep since 1981.

About the lesson

Ask probing questions, I draw diagrams, solve examples then,I change the numbers and have students solve the same problem with new numbers

I have worked with students from grade 3 through PhD. Be I have helped students as old as 70 years of age. My students have had learning plans, special needs, trouble understanding a teacher, problems seeing the solution, gifted but required refreshing fundamental concepts.

Ask for the first session to be free so that you can be assured that the tutor truly wants to help you and not just to make a buck.

I once learned a better way to teach students how to find the slope of a line from a gifted student who had been home schooled his entire life. He is such a brilliant person but he could only solve problems in his mind. My job was to teach concepts, processes and notation. My motto is if you keep an open mind, you can always learn something new or a better way to find a solution.

My standard rate is 40.00 per hour plus milage from the High Point Public Library. I offer to tutor for free for the first session at the High Point Public Library.
