About Luce

I've always done very well in all subjects, going back to my earlier days in school. My peers would ask me to help them understand certain concepts and helping them ignited a spark in me. From there, i tutored peers throughout high school and eventually started my own independent business tutoring while in college through graduate school.

I have tutored previously through a company called Wyzant since 2016. I also have a background in STEM, with a bachelors in chemical engineering and a masters of biotechnology. My education is not specifically in education but the skills I've acquired have prepared me to be able to properly communicate with students.

About the lesson

I familiarize myself with the student's learning style and get acquainted with just what it is that they need help with, and that goes beyond specific questions on homework, etc. I try to figure out from the jump if they struggle with confidence in finding solutions to problems, if there's lack of understanding of certain things, and we work from there to plan the best route of success.

I've worked with students of all ages, from 2nd grade to college age, and of all backgrounds. I can work with anyone; I even have expedite everything working directly with an elemtseg age student with learning disabilities.
