About Betty
Students from elementary school math through college math have benefited from working with our company over the last 15+ years. We are based in Tampa, Florida and can work with students face-to-face or virtually through Zoom.
I have my middle school and high school math certifications and bring people into my team which can explain concepts clearly, with the goal of helping students to understand concepts and how to apply them.
I love helping people build confidence, believe in their skills, and soar.
I love seeing the light go on and students being able to understand a concept that previously they struggled with. I love helping people to understand math is nothing more that recognizing patterns and developing critical thinking skills. I see these as the "gifts" math gives us. I like building confidence and helping students develop a stronger abiity to trust their thinking, their process, and their answers and methods.
17 years of teaching in K-12 system, both in private and public schools, magnet and traditional. Have created and run summer math camps for elementary and middle school age students. Have helped rewrite GCGs for Hillsborough County math, have trained other teachers through Hillsborough County Professional Development Team, have mentored up and coming math teachers from USF.

Perfect! My family really enjoyed working with Betty. Our son was having difficulty learning math facts at the 5th grade level. Her teaching style was innovative, adaptive, and tailored to meet our child’s needs and learning style. Betty is/was very positive, supportive , encouraging, personable, and professional. She will make your child feel special and empowered to succeed. She made learning math facts a fun and happy experience.
