About Natalie
I consider myself a relatable tutor. I like to level myself with my students to make them feel like they don't have to be perfect the first time around. I have realistic expectations for my lessons and am happiest when I know I've found a way to teach a student in a way that works best for them.
I love making students feel comfortable with their education. When students are struggling, it can make school a hard topic for them, or one that causes stress for them. I'm a huge advocate for mental health, and believe that a student feeling comfortable in their education is a huge part of their success in having good mental health.
I had families begin reaching out to me through word of mouth. After I began tutoring, I learned how much I love to help others feel comfortable with their education.
I'm a sophomore studying mechanical engineering at Colorado School of mines. I started tutoring Calculus in Fall 2019. I am proficient in all math subjects up to Calculus 3/ Differential Eqns. I'm also extremely comfortable with teaching physics 1 and 2.

I start off by getting to know what the student's interests are. I use my knowledge of the student to gauge what methods I should encorporate into their lessons. This helps me to fit a student with a learning style that works best for them, ultimately helping them to feel confident.
All of my students have been upperclassmen in high school.
Look for a teacher that you think you'll be able to bond with. I like to encourage having fun and making jokes while tutoring, because learning shouldn't be bland.
