About Rebecca
Hi! I’m a Johns Hopkins graduate and incoming medical student with 6+ years of experience helping students improve both test scores and academic performance. I offer personalized SAT/ACT prep as well as math and science tutoring for end-of-year exams, grade improvement, and summer support.
For SAT/ACT prep, I help students raise scores significantly while building strong test-taking strategies and overall college readiness: ideal for students targeting summer and fall test dates.
I create structured study plans tailored to each student's strengths so they know exactly how to study and improve efficiently. My approach focuses on high-impact strategies, time management, and building confidence.

I’ve always enjoyed working with and mentoring students. Growing up with two younger sisters, I saw how important guidance is in building confidence and strong study habits. I started tutoring in high school and continued through college, and over the past 6+ years have developed a structured, personalized approach to help students improve efficiently.
I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where I double majored in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Psychology (Dean's List). I scored a 35 on the ACT (36 superscore) and have over 6 years of experience tutoring students in SAT/ACT prep as well as math and science.
My background in both science and psychology allows me to not only teach content, but also help students develop effective study strategies, time management skills, and confidence. I have worked with students at a range of levels and specialize in helping them make meaningful improvements in both test scores and academic performance.

start with a brief consultation to understand the student’s current level, goals, and any past testing or coursework. From there, I create a personalized study plan tailored to their strengths and areas for improvement.
For SAT/ACT students, this includes targeted practice, strategy development for each section, and a structured weekly schedule leading up to their test date. For academic tutoring, I focus on reinforcing key concepts, improving problem-solving skills, and preparing for upcoming exams.
Throughout our sessions, I track progress, adjust the plan as needed, and provide ongoing support to ensure students stay on track and continue improving efficiently.

I offer hourly tutoring at $45/hour (virtual) and $50/hour (in-person). Most students work with me on a structured weekly plan tailored to their goals, typically 1–2 sessions per week.
For SAT/ACT prep, I typically recommend a structured multi-week plan (typically 1-2 sessions/week) leading up to the test date. This includes regular 1:1 sessions, a personalized study plan between sessions, and targeted practice to build skills, improve efficiency, and achieve meaningful score gains.
For academic tutoring, I provide ongoing support for math and science courses, focusing on strengthening core concepts, preparing for exams, and improving overall performance.
