About Emily
As a tutor and teacher I have experience with many different learners and am now to help each individual student. I tutored for 8 years, taught in public junior high schools for two years. I have my BS in Math and my MS in educational technology.
I love math and I love helping people gain skills and confidence in math. Math has always been my favorite subject and helping people understand and see the benefit of math is what I love to do.

To have a discussion about their goals. Figure out their best way of learning and start to put a plan together on how tutoring will benefit them the most. Then start working with them so find out exactly where the areas of help are needed most.
I have worked with students ages anywhere between 4-50 years of age. I have worked with kindergarten students learning to count up to adults who has gone back to school or were improving their skills for work. I also have worked with high school students for test prep.
Find someone who is willing to work with a system that will work for you and not try to fit you into a system the tutor has.
