About Carleen

I have been a tutor for the last 5 years of my life, ranging from introductory biology to AP Calculus courses, and my students range from elementary to high school students. I cover a large range of subject material, with my strongest being math. I enjoy working with kids one on one and have a lot of patience teaching and others.

I believe education is extremely important. However, classes don't always provide students with the resources they need. Tutoring is a great supplement to this, allowing tutors to provide one on one and personalize teaching methods catered to each individual student. As a tutor, I have always enjoyed being able to pass on my knowledge to others while also being able to solidify my own foundational knowledge. I enjoy interacting with others and learning new ways to approach problems.

I first started tutoring as a volunteer at my old elementary school during my freshman year of high school and loved the experience. Throughout high school, I joined multiple organizations that provided me tutoring job opportunities. I continued into college by participating in STEM outreach events and referrals from friends.

About the lesson
