About Frank
Hello! My name is Frank Bailey, and I am a mathematics educator with over 12 years of experience helping students build confidence and strengthen foundational math skills.
I specialize in working with students in grades 4–8, providing math intervention, small-group instruction, and targeted support in areas such as multiplication, division, fractions, pre-algebra, and algebra readiness.
Throughout my career, I have taught in both traditional classroom and intervention settings, helping struggling learners close skill gaps while also challenging students who are ready to advance.
My teaching philosophy is simple: students learn best through clear instruction, repetition, consistency, and encouragement. Many students struggle with math not because they lack ability, but because they haven't had enough opportunities to build automaticity with foundational skills.
I use an "I do, We do, You do" instructional approach that gradually builds student independence and confidence.
In addition to tutoring, I am the founder of Big Brain Math Academy, an online educational platform designed to make math engaging through games, competitions, and interactive learning experiences.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina A&T State University and have dedicated my career to helping students develop the skills they need for long-term academic success.
Whether your child needs remediation, enrichment, homework support, or help preparing for higher-level math, my goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students can grow in both skill and confidence.
