About Tanya
Hello! I am currently a 1st grade teacher and work in the public schools. I have been teaching for 18 years in grades 1-8. I also was a Reading Specialist and a Reading Interventionist during that time. I would love to work with your child, as learning may have been lost during this remote learning time. I am passionate working with kids, whereas I have 3 kids of my own!
I was always interested working with kids. I started with babysitting and working for summer camps while in high school. Then I pursued the passion of elementary education at Western Illinois University in 1998-2002. I then pursued a Master's degree from Chicago State University as a reading specialist. I then pursued another Master's degree in administration.
I am a certified elementary teacher (1-8), certified reading specialist and interventionist, and certified administrator.
