About Miranda
I love to work with kids and I really enjoy helping them learn new things. I always get really excited when someone I'm helping finally gets a hang of what we're going over. To help me review for my classes, I use a lot of diagrams and visual aid, so I plan on using the same thing for the kids I help. I am currently a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, studying psychology. I can help with reading and English at an intermediate level, and I can help with math and science at a basic level. I have tutoring experience with 4th grade English and math.
I am currently a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and I'm studying psychology. I graduated from Northside College Preparatory High School, with a 3.9 GPA, unweighted. I took 5 Advanced Placement classes - U.S. History, Langauge and Composition, Psychology, Environmental Science, and Statistics - and I got good scores on each of the national exams.

I like to introduce myself to the student and get to know them before we begin anything. I believe it's important to have a good relationship with the student and for the student to have a good relationship with me. I also typically go over what my goals are with the student, so they have an idea of the type of tutor I am. I want this experience to be fun and not just about learning the material. The methods I use, I hope, will be engaging and make the content easy to learn.
