About Pranay

I hold a Master's in Mathematics and have been tutoring mathematics for over 10 years now. I have been an online tutor on chegg.com and have tutored for more than 2000 hours. I am a Bronze Medallist in the Math Olympiad and tutoring is my passion.

The best tutor is the one that eliminates the need of a tutor. I like to see my students actually learn to figure things out on their own without outside help. I train my students to become independent problem solvers. I have been an online tutor on chegg.com and studypool.com for over 4 years and have over 2000 hours of tutoring experience under my sleeve.

I began tutoring students since High School. Slowly I realised my passion for teaching and enrolled as a Teaching Assistant at my university. I have not stopped ever since.

I have an MSc. in Mathematics and I also have a BE in Electronics Engineering. Currently I am a CFA Level 1 candidate. I also have been a Bronze Medallist at the Mathematics Olympiad.

About the lesson

I generally begin with a demo/ trial lecture wherein I understand the student's responsiveness and grasping capabilities. I then mould my curriculum and teaching methodology accordingly to maximize the output of the tutoring lesson.

I have worked with students from a wide range of ethnicities and languages. Communication will never be a hindrance in my tutoring. I have also catered to students right from kindergarten, primary school, secondary school all the way through Masters students.

Please decide on your goal for the outcome of the tutoring session, whether it is to score good marks, learn because you enjoy it, or whether you are falling behind in the subject and you would like to catch back up. Deciding this is important as it paves the path to the course speed and curriculum.

A former student called me up in the middle of the night to inform me that he got a job as a Data Scientist at a leading Quant Finance firm in USA. It made me realise the impact tutoring can have when done in the right way.
