About Sapphire

I provide 1 on 1 tutoring directly correlated to what the student is learning in class. I ensure that the student is not only prepared for what they learn in class but that they understand the fundamentals. I provide practice exams and challenging questions that gauge how the student approaches problems and help the student to do so correctly. I have 8 years of experience.

I have a B.S. in Biology on the pre medical track. I have completed calculus III and am confident in the subject. I have tutored in other subjects as well. I was in charge of the tutoring program at my college which was under the Academic Opportunity Program.

About the lesson

I meet the student ask him or her what he or she finds most difficult about the subject. I then review the student's past work to see what area they struggle the most in. I then review the past work with the student to see if they retain old concepts or have gained a better understanding of the work. I then examine what the student is currently learning in class and prepare a tailored packet for the student to work on complete with examples, quizzes, and a test.

Details

I charge $35 per hour with a maximum of 2 hours per day. A half hour power session right before an exam costs $20. All other half hour sessions cost $15.
