About Sarah
I'm an Austin-based Math tutor for Precalc, Calc 1-3 (or AP), Statistics, and SAT Math. I'm a Math major at Tulane and I've been tutoring since last year. I've helped students make major improvements to their grades.
I enjoy helping students get to the point where the material clicks, and seeing them gain confidence in math.
I started tutoring in the fall of my freshman year while I was realizing I wanted to pursue math.
I'm double majoring in Math and Computer Science in the Honors Program at Tulane University. I intend to pursue a 4+1 program so that I can graduate with my B.S. in 2023 and my M.S. in 2024. I am at the top of my college math classes. I have been tutoring math since last year and my students have been very successful.

I like to get to know my students and their needs so we can plan the structure of their sessions to best serve them. We can mix going over lessons with working on homework or practice problems.
I've primarily worked with Austin-area high school students.
I believe the most important quality in a math tutor is the ability to go beyond the surface level of concepts by passing along intuition about patterns in problems as well as how strategies should be applied.
I got to come home to my dog for the summer!
