About Sona
As an undergraduate student at Emory University, I study applied mathematics and economics. I have worked as an instructor at Kumon Math and Reading Center and have conducted private SAT and algebra/algebra II tutoring for over two years. At Kumon, I learned how to tailor my instruction to individual needs and age groups. I would love to tutor in a range of topics in math, such as algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry. I am also qualified to tutor both micro and macroeconomics. In high school, I received a score of 5 on AP Calculus AB and BC, Statistics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. I am also qualified to tutor in SAT and ACT Math, as I received a perfect score of 36 on the math section (and 35 overall), in addition to placing as a National Merit Finalist. I believe that tutoring is much more efficient with a collaborative environment, where students are able to ask questions and make mistakes.
