About Jennifer
I truly believe that all students can learn and be successful and I want my students to feel that same level of confidence when they work with me.
I am passionate about kids and their families. It's so fun to watch kids learn and make connections.
I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education, Master's degree in Special Education, and an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. My certifications in the state of Missouri are in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) and Mild and Moderate Cross-Categorical Disabilities (Grades K-12). I have taught Kindergarten and elementary resource for 8 years and am currently serving as a special education instructional coach for grades K-12. I have been in this current role for 4 years.

Before I can start working on any content with students, it is important that we take some time to build rapport. I want the kids I work with to feel comfortable. A foundation of trust will lead to a higher quality of learning. Once we've built a relationship, I will do a pre- assessment and surface what the student's strengths and opportunities are. This will allow us to have pinpointed instruction during our sessions.
