About Amber
Hello, I'm Amber, I've been teaching and tutoring for the past 6 years specializing in Primary School level Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies and working with students from grades 1-10 and students at a variety of ability levels. I love working with children to help them improve their academic confidence and achieve their learning goals and needs.
TEACHING POSITIONS:
2nd grade -All subjects
4th grade - Math and Science
10th grade - English Language Arts ESL
CERTIFICATIONS:
K-6 Elementary - Standard
EDUCATION:
Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT, 2010-2014
My favorite aspect of tutoring is being a part of a student’s "aha" moment; comprehension improves confidence, so it is quite satisfying when a problem finally makes sense and to be there with the student when it happens is a privilege.
K-6 Standard Teaching Certification
Social Emptipnal Learning Teacher certificate from Rutgers University
