About Maureen
HI, My name is Maureen. I am a retired Arizona Certified k-12 teacher. I hold endorsements in Art, Reading Specialist, & ESL Learning. I have 20 years experience within the Paradise Valley School District combined with experience from Phoenix Elementary. Graduate from the U of Arizona with a BA in Education and completed graduate studies from the U of Phoenix as a Reading Specialist and ESL learning. I hold endorsements in Art, Reading Specialist, & ESL learning. I taught middle school gifted students in both Art and study Skills as well as private tutoring in reading. I engage students to love learning through creative approaches. My goal to assure that your child succeeds for the challenges in their future education and beyond.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about education. I am very active in outdoor activities, my art, & my family. I understand the challenges in education as a teacher, parent, and grandparent . Give me the opportunity to assist you with your child’s education development.
I have developed a comprehensive program in study skills for your child to develop good habits in time management, test taking, knowledge retention, and many more skills needed for success. Many of those skills were lost during the two years of the covid shutdowns. Please contact me for details.
