About Julie
I help students find their footing at one of the most overwhelming crossroads of their lives.
With more than 28 years in education, I bring a full-spectrum view of what it takes to be truly prepared for life after high school. I am currently in my 18th year teaching high school English and Career & Technical Education, but started my career teaching at public, private, and community colleges. I have helped over 100 students successfully pursue college, military, workforce, and technical pathways. I have also partnered with colleges and education organizations across North Carolina and the U.S. to ensure students and the educators who support them understand what readiness really looks like.
I support students with:
College application planning and timelines
Personal essays and supplemental writing
Resumes and activity lists
Scholarship preparation
Accountability systems and personalized planners
SAT, ACT, and WorkKeys preparation
High school, dual-enrollment, and presentation writing
This work is about more than applications. It’s about helping students see themselves as capable, worthy, and ready for what comes next. And helping their parents know their children are ready for the next step!
