About Laura
Our N.Y. state certified learning specialists specialize in working with children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia & ADHD.
We provide individual tutoring in reading, writing, spelling, organization, study skills, math, Spanish and test prep.
I love watching kids' confidence grow as they learn new skills.
I taught in public school in the Loudoun County School District in Virginia for six years and then moved to Baltimore to get my master's degree in reading education at Towson University. Following graduation, I taught at the Calvert School, and independent school in Baltimore, MD. After marrying, I moved to NY and taught at Rippowam Cisqua, another independent school in Bedford, NY. I established the Learning Resource Center in 2008.
I have my B.S in Education, a M.Ed in Reading Education , post graduate training in multisensory reading programs, and 32yrs experience teaching in both public and private settings.
