About Ellen
Tutoring should not feel like being in school. I believe there should be an exchange between myself and my student that allows for both ask and answer any questions that come up. I want to hear you say: "I don't get it."
In addition I was a Special Education Teacher, my Tutoring will always be adapted to your needs and abilities.
For example: Reading does not mean we'll read a book together. I will add age appropriate graphic novels, magazines, etc. To read is not for school books only; reading can take you on journeys to far off lands without leaving your house.
Elementary Math can be fun...School House Rock helps to see and understand multiplication.
I struggled in some areas of math so I can undertake frustration. That us why I will work to find a way to make it fun and not frustrating.
Any subject I teach will be a learning experience mixed in with fun.
