About Melissa
My name is Melissa Sandusky. I have a master's degree in Special Education from Canisius College and over nine years of prior teaching experience. I live in Western New York state with my husband, two children, and two cats. I have experience in many types of schools and communities, and have worked with students of all different skill levels, from grades K-12, English language learners, special education programs, AIS, Arts, Music, and even Physical Education. I am familiar with many curriculum programs, routines, and a wide variety of teaching practices. The creative ideas I have seen are endless and I am excited to implement these strategies into my own literacy-rich learning environment. I am looking forward to working with you and I hope to complete some fun and challenging tasks to help us reach your academic goals. I want to help all my students gain self-confidence and self-worth, along with a strong sense of respect and responsibility for themselves and those around them. I have high expectations for all my students. I am committed to assisting them with the expectations required of them. With a little help, there is no limit to the heights that can be achieved!
