About Natalie
I'm a senior at Kinder HSPVA in the Creative Writing Department, where I study Creative Writing for three hours daily. In the fall, I will begin studying English at Stanford University.
I have a passion for teaching, specifically creative writing. I've taught dozens of students throughout Houston from elementary to middle school. As a young writer myself, I can understand the students' specific needs and what they wish to say, and I can help them find the words to say that. I've worked with all types of students and different goals--from working on a new short story to applications to academic essay writing, I'm prepared for it all.
As a writer, my work has been recognized nationally. I'm a YoungArts Writing Finalist: an award given to the top 15 high school writers annually. I've also received scholarships from the Texas Commission on the Arts and Scholastic for my creative work.
