About Fergie

I specialize in Women and Men 50 and over and I have been fitness professional for 30 years working with all populations. The goal is to get people moving in a safe way and keep them moving thereby improving their quality of life.

I enjoy meeting people and being able to share what I have learned through studying and life experiences. It is very fulfilling to see lives enhanced due to my Specialized programs.

Yvonne has been a fitness professional in the industry for over 30 years. As well as many Certifications, She also has Degrees in Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Education /Health Sciences From Temple University and Montgomery County Community College. Having roles such as a Therapeutic Recreation Director, Brain Injury Therapist and Activity /Volunteer Coordinator , to name a few, Yvonne has always been involved with changing the lives of others through Health and Fitness. Creating her Business, Fergie’s Instructional Training FIT LLC , in 2009 allowed her to take her passion and experience to the next level. She has created a series of Educational movement Programs called ‘The Efficacy of Aging’, which she brings to the Older adults in LTC facilities, residential homes, Senior Centers and to novice individuals who are newly embarking on their journey of health and fitness . Fergie Owns a Boutique Fitness Studio and conducts numerous local Group Fitness and Bootcamp classes in indoor and outdoor locations. She has been featured on ‘Significant Tv’ , and on the Cover of’ Philly Fit Magazine’ and has Conducted many presentations in Events and the media and Community.She has written articles in Natural magazine and has had articles written about her in "the Chestnut Hill Local and ""Scoop" newspapers. Based in Germantown, West Mt. Airy, PA. (but teaching in Philadelphia and the surrounding Suburbs),During her career she has managed many facilities and Directed Programs . Yvonne regularly advocates for the older adult in the following ways:- By Presenting in annual local events such at “B ET’ Bringing Everyone together, Being an annual speaker on Health and Fitness at the Mission Conference for Zion Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Providing free outdoor classes in the Summer to the community through the Germantown CDC and Nicetown CDC ., Annual Speaker on Health and Wellness at ‘Women of Faith’ Breast cancer Luncheons, Empowerment speaker for “A Better you “ conference at The African American History Museum.Conducting Wellness seminars in Local Churches , such as New Covenant Church of Philadelphia and Grace Epiphany, Episcopal Church in Germantown, PA. She has also Volunteered her time to be an Annual Speaker for the MS society ,at their monthly meetings.. Yvonne Ferguson Hardin possesses the innate drive and unstoppable passion that was at the heart her ability to become successful. She saw a need and decided that she was responsible to initiate a plan to do something about it. Yvonne Ferguson Hardin’s generosity and passion to make a difference in the lives of others enables her to be a leader and hugely active influence in her community.

About the lesson

I conduct an assessment, and a health history. We then review goals and expectations and agree on a fee. I create a plan and submit a timeline, we then begin working towards the success of their goal.
