About Amanda
Hi all. I am a 26 year old woman living in San Jose. I love teaching... It has always been my passion ever since I can remember talking. Teaching allows me to share that passion and I find it extremely rewarding. I like to think I`m an approachable teacher and students feel at ease and aren`t afraid of a making mistakes in my class. Because that`s how we learn after all - making mistakes!
I am available mainly evenings and weekends. Though during the school holidays I am also available during the day.
I have been teaching for over 3 years now and I have experience in both the primary and secondary sector. I am currently working in a secondary school in San Jose, which I love, but also love to work with younger children. I like to teach in an interactive and fun way - children and adults alike learn more from having to work out things for themselves rather than being told things. So often puzzles and information hunt are aspects of my lessons. I always love to teach through signs which helps with both listening and speaking skills.
