About Martina

I am a very passionate and highly qualified teacher, with over 10 years of experience. I love Italy, my country, and the Italian Language and Culture, and I would love to share these passions with you.

My teaching approach is mainly focused on communication, though I am open to change, in case your individual needs are different.

My objective is to build a solid relationship of trust with students and to work together to create a unique learning path that fits well the students needs.

I am very passionate about Italian cooking, art, fashion, literature and music and I do language lessons based on your passions too!

I love teaching, especially my home language to other people, and I enjoy building relationship with students and seeing how they progress in their knowledge and love of Italian, this to me is my greatest professional satisfaction. I also enjoy learning about students and their lives all throughout the world!

I have started as a volunteer when I was at college. I taught Italian Language to immigrates and political refugees in Italy, and I became so passionate about teaching, that I kept doing that until now.

I have a M.A. Degree in Applied Linguistics - Pedagogy and Promotion of Italian Language and Culture obtained at the University of Venice, Italy, and the DITALS II Certification - Advanced Certificate to teach Italian as a second language, obtained at the University of Siena, Italy.

About the lesson

I love to share with my all my students my teaching approach, that it is mainly focused on communication; but I am open to change, in case the individual needs are different.

My objective is to build a solid trust relationship with the students and work together to create a unique learning path that fits well with the students needs.

I have worked with several kinds of students, from all over the world. In Italy I taught in colleges, private school language, religious orders and embassies.

I have worked both with teenagers and adults, but since I moved to the States, I have worked mainly with adults.

I think that teaching and learning are team works, so if you are looking for an Italian teacher you should look for someone that is open to change his own working method to embrace your needs and help you to achieve your learning goals.
