About Jack

Hi nice to meet you! I am a high school student with a great passion for all forms of history and social sciences. I have passed every single course in this category with a 98 or higher, and love to learn more about history in my free time! I help my friends succeed in more difficult courses and want to be able to help others! While it being informally, I have been tutoring friends for years. I'm available most of the time and look forward to being able to help you succeed! I've also been an active member in our community as an eagle scout for the last 3 years! Leading services projects for my school and organizing educational opportunities for my school! I have also been a member of our mock trial team for 3 consecutive years now, as well as hosting multiple study groups for both AP Human Geography and AP U.S. History. I'm more than happy to answer questions or address any concerns you may have :) Thank you so much for considering me!

While I am still in high school, I was always the one to help other kids study something they didn't understand in order to pass a class. Now I don't condone cheating but I would teach them how to learn the information they needed, after that it was up to them. However I really do enjoy helping other people learn about what I am so passionate about! It truly feels amazing knowing that I can help someone else learn about something I love so much!

I have taken nearly ever humanities course and history course allowed by my public school system, including: AP U.S. History, A.P. Human Geography, World History, Psychology, A.P. Psychology and I am also on track to taking the final course, A.P. Government and Politics next year. I also spend great deals of my own time researching and studying historical facts just for fun. I am a huge fan of the ancient world, most specifically Egypt, however I do enjoy more modern history such as the last 200 years of U.S. history. I also review college courses from a third party teaching program that specifically panders to a certain topic, helping me to greater learn a topic. Overall, I love everything history! And even if you don't I am sure I can help you pass your class and maybe even prepare yourself for future ones!

About the lesson

I would first like to meet with my prospective student and get a feel for what it is you need help with. Whether it be problems with studying for tests, failure to grasp a certain topic or just a need for general review. Then I would like to specificially review and practice instances of these issues and work to address new skills that can help you better thrive in the class environment!

For the majority it has just been friends over the years. However i have volunteered for studying sessions across all forms of middle and high school, exposing me to a wide berth of students.

Please know what you need help with! The more specific you are with your problem the more I can help!

Instead of: "I don't know how to write a LEQ (APUSH)"

Say: I am confused as to the evidence requirements and layout for writing a LEQ

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Is this something I really could benefit from? Am I going to take full advantage of this opportunity? And lastly, Am I willing to put forth the effort to learn!

Not necessarily. I would likely change depending on course. For example, a 2 hour session on writing DBQ's for AP U.S. History is very different than studying for a world history test. The difficulty of the course and of the material would likely dictate the pricing.
