About Alexandra
I am a committed, passionate and responsible teacher who has a lot of experience in the education field in both virtual and in-person sessions with students of different ages and levels (Elementary, high school, and professionals).
I have been teaching Social Studies and Spanish for more than 7 years, and during all this time I have acquired the experience and strategies needed to provide a great service with the highest quality.
I am enthusiastic about encouraging my students to improve their language level by learning through meaningful activities. To achieve this objective, I am very dynamic, creative and I use different strategies to keep all my students motivated.
I have a great sense of responsibility, dedication, and solid work ethic, and the most important aspect is my love and commitment to my profession as a tutor.
I have always considered that teaching is a very rewarding and special job due to different aspects that make me feel proud and enjoy it a lot. Through my passion that is teaching, I can make a positive impact in my students’ lives by inspiring, supporting, and helping them to achieve their dreams, learn and analyze.
Furthermore, It is a job that allows me to keep learning and living different and gratifying experiences with both my colleagues and students.
During all this time of experience as a teacher I have really enjoyed learning all the time from my students, their curiosity and, ideas. As a teacher, I really enjoy seeing my students make progress in areas that were challenging for them. There is nothing more rewarding than accompanying them in the amazing and interesting world of learning.
I started teaching more than 7 years ago. I worked as a personal tutor in English, Spanish, and Social Studies teacher.
As a personal tutor, I had to provide one on one in small groups tutoring English, Spanish and, Social Studies sessions.
At the same time, I helped students with their questions and difficulties, creating an environment where they feel comfortable, motivated, and passionate through their learning process.
Additionally, I have worked in schools at different levels of education. I am a professional in the Social Studies field, working as a Social Studies teacher for more than four years in Elementary and High school, performing as a teacher from First Grade to Sixth Grade.

When working with a new student, the first step I follow is to understand the student’s needs, expectations, and interests (since each of them is very different and have their own particular interests, hobbies, and objectives) in order to facilitate and motivate their learning process.
Based on this information I create the best strategies and activities to help the student accomplish their desired results. After creating the best program according to the student’s necessities, I explain the process and methods to apply so the learner feels comfortable with the course and can also know what to expect.
The next step is to let the student know that continuous feedback will be given so that they can build their confidence and enhance their knowledge throughout all the tutorials.
Every student is different and special, with their own needs and passions. I really like to know more about my students, to ask them questions about themselves, their dreams, their interests, hobbies, and what they like or dislike.
That strategy, allows me to select the best pedagogical tools and resources to keep my students motivated and focused. By identifying their own passions and needs I am able to teach and choose the best education methods and creative ways to achieve the best learning process for each student, accompanying and motivating them through all their learning process.
I have worked with students of very different ages, levels of education, interests, and needs.
I have also worked in different settings such as schools, institutes, in both in-person and online classes.
I would tell a student who is looking for a Spanish teacher to find a tutor who is passionate about his job as an educator. Thanks to this, the classes will have for sure high-level standards and will be very dynamic as well.
Furthermore, I will advise the student to hire a teacher who is very enthusiastic about the subject so that this enthusiasm and commitment can be passed on to all the students who receive class with this tutor.
Additionally, I would recommend looking for a professional who is able to understand the learner’s needs, likes, and objectives as a way to foster the student’s knowledge and motivation in improving the skills on the language.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is essential that students analyze and consider different aspects before starting a new learning project so that clear goals are set from the beginning and they can be achieved.
For these reasons, there are some significant questions that I consider a student needs to reflect on before talking to a tutor about his needs:
1. What are the main reasons I have to learn Spanish as a second language?
2. What are my expectations about these lessons?
3. What are my short, medium, and long-term goals in terms of learning and improving my Spanish level?
4. What strategies can I start implementing in my life to succeed in becoming proficient in this new language?
5. What are the most important characteristics I am looking for in my Spanish teacher?
Along with this, students should think about the way they would like to learn, or they think it is easier for them, in that way they can share that information with the teacher and talk about the best method or activities that can be used in lessons. It is fundamental students think about the reasons for taking the classes, and what would help them to feel more motivated and encouraged.

One of the most experienced teachers i've learned from. She's very dynamic, and her program is tailored to your needs. Now, i feel confident in having long conversations in Spanish with the workers I supervise, and it makes a huge difference in leadership.
Alexa is an excellent teacher who has helped me a lot with my Spanish. She is great and explains in a clear way all the topics. Her methodology is dynamic and it allows me to interact all the time. If I make a mistake, there is no problem, because I correct it with her support. I feel comfortable and happy with her.
Alexandra is an amazing teacher. I have really improved my spanish level. Her classes are also very interesting and dynamic! :)
Alexandra is an amazing teacher, under her guidance, in just a couple of months, I've progressed in Spanish better than in the past year of self-study! Her lessons are very well structured and her explanations are clear. And the best part is that she is a native speaker and can easily spot and correct my pronunciation mistakes.
Wow! Alexandra has helped me with the basics and how to stay in conversation. She's very attentive and has helped me to learn fast in the past 3 weeks.
Started my Spanish lesson with Alexandra two months ago. Been a wonderful experience. She is patient, knowledgeable, and has a real understanding of how to teach a foreign language to someone. She also makes it a fun process and constantly follows up if I have any questions and sends me the Zoom recording of our weekly class so I can practice. If you really want to learn Spanish, Alexandra is it!
Alexandra is my tutor and I'm so happy with her because she explains to me everything so clear that I can understand her easily. Her presentations are amazing and I can communicate all of my ideas because she makes me feel super comfortable. I've understood that I can make mistakes and nothing happens. She corrects me kindly and it increases my confidence.
