About Isaac
Though I am alot younger than others in this field, I feel like that fact hardly hinders my ability to effectively tutor students and could actually work in my favor as my age could make myself more relatable to students.
I absolutely love the subject of history and it's super inspiring to see a student finally grasp a subject when teaching.
Currently in my second year of working on my bachelor's degree in Social Science Secondary Education at Emporia State Univerity, and I have done well over 200 hours of student instructing and teaching in a variety of subjects.

Get to know the student and get familiar with what sort of course work the student needs help on.
The two biggest goals when working with a new student is to make the student comfortable and to figure out the students learning strategy.
Pretty much every age from kindergarten to highschool.
Try to find someone who truly enjoys their subject matter. In history, its really easy to get a teacher or a tutor that just rambles on, very monotone, and can get very boring. Find someone who loves history (like me).
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Work on honing in on what exactly you're having trouble with so you can inform your instructor.

It can depend on the subject matter and the level, but usually I try to hover around $10-$17 an hour. But this of course can be negotiated depending on circumstances.
