About
I am an experienced secondary social studies educator and curriculum designer with 30+ years leading AP, IB and honors instruction, department leadership, and co-curricular programs including athletics and international and experiential learning, as well as experience in management consulting serving clients in the education and non-profit sectors. I am a graduate of Lewis and Clark College with a BA in History and English, and Harvard University with an M. Ed in Education Administration, Planning, and Social Policy. I am a certified teacher in Secondary Social Studies in Colorado, and have taught U.S. History, World History, Geography, Government, Economics, IB 20th Century History, IB History of Europe and the Middle East, AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP World History, and AP Human Geography. I am enthusiastic and encouraging with all students I work with! My goal as a tutor is, not only for students and parents to see tangible results, but for students to feel confident and excited about learning.
