About Angelo
The most important thing about music is that it’s fun. That’s what it’s all about! If you aren’t having fun, you’re doing it wrong. Using this as our starting point, along with my Carnegie Mellon University education, real industry professional knowledge from Nashville, TN and Los Angeles, CA pro’s, plus nearly 4 years of private lesson and group class instruction experience, we will CRUSH your goals, and have a great time doing it!
My favorite thing about teaching is when students reach their goals. It's the "a-ha" moment and the look on their face when they hit that high note, play that chord correctly, or learn that first song. It brings me so much joy to see them succeed!
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, and have studied singing for nearly 15 years. I have been teaching private lessons and group classes to kids ages 6-76 for nearly 4 years. I also travel back and forth to Nashville, TN, working with a professional mentor in the songwriting industry, and meeting with industry pro's. I frequently co-write with songwriters in Nashville, and LA. Though singing is my first instrument, I also teach piano, commercial songwriting, guitar and ukulele.

Our first lesson is mostly about getting to know each other. I ask a few questions, and we establish goals. This helps me learn how I can help you! Each student is different, so I try to tailor my lessons to that particular student's needs, however, a typical lesson structure, depending on the instrument, we start with warmups and technical exercises, and then we begin to work on a song. We will work on various aspects of technique, performance, and, most importantly, confidence building!
