Our son has taken classical guitar lessons with Michael for six years, and we continue to be impressed with Michael’s skill and patience as a teacher. He always looks for ways to motivate and encourage. Our son is now entering guitar competitions and because of his ability to play classically he is able to cross over into different styles easily. We are very thankful that we found such a wonderful guitar instructor!

We've been taking guitar with Michael for almost a year now. What I like most is his structured style of teaching. My son always leaves a lesson knowing exactly what to work on each week. The problem we've had with other guitar teachers is that there is no rhyme or reason to their teaching. The students are usually taught songs without any understanding of note reading or technique. Michael is different in this way. He is also very professional, reliable and takes a sincere interest in his students' progress. Finally, I love that he allows the students to perform in two concerts per year. It great to see them perform and it gives the students motivation to work hard and improve their skills. Mr. Fresonke is awesome! He’s a great teacher for all ages, from 8 to 80. He does a good job pacing students and developing strengths, while also identifying and building areas of growth. He never picks pieces that are too difficult for a student to learn, and he makes lessons fun and easy with his outgoing, friendly personality. I’ve been taking lessons from him for seven years and never have I ever considered another teacher.

Learning from Mike was an absolute pleasure. He’s very knowledgeable, has developed a good method for learning, and is also really funny which kept the parts of learning that could have been dry interesting. I took lessons from him for a few years and now I feel confident about learning any piece of guitar music.
