About Matthew
I teach to pass on the gift of music ..All astyles and techniques ! We learn together .I also teach bass and mandolin .I have been teaching for over 20 yrs and playing over 50 yrs . i have had the pleasure to play all over the world and with some ell known artist ..Sorry i don't name drop LOL ~ I believe that even when you teach you learn as well . You are never to old or young to learn . Even the most accomplished players keep learning and absorbing new styles and ways to play !! So let's do this ! Beginner intermediate or advanced ,,We will have fun and explore new things .

I worked at Guitar center in Oklahoma for years ran the acoustic room .Toured with many different musicians around the country .

If you are a new student i promise you will learn something new each session ..We go over the basics if you are a beginner and promise you will be playing a song in one lesson ..then you tell me what you want to learn ! I find that people are more receptive when you teach them what they want to learn !!
All types all ages !! Mostly beginners and intermediate and some advanced
Learn at your own pace !! Practice scales and exercises for at least 15 mins a day but play as long as you want !!!
Yu are the only one who can determin your limmits !!
I layed the blues festival on Long Island beforee the pandemic hit us ..now i do on line teaching
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I leave that to them !!! The question I get asked most is how long will it take for me to be good . Well that's up to you..I can only inspire and show you .You can't teach passion !! You must have it to begin with

He is always so encouraging when you are trying to learn a riff and just shows you over again if you are having trouble, without criticizing.
