About Dana
Hi! I’m Dana Benedict — a singer, performer, songwriter, and music educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. My background combines professional performance with strong technical vocal training, so my lessons are both encouraging and highly practical.
Working with me is supportive, creative, and tailored to each student. I believe every voice is unique, and my goal is to help students build confidence while developing healthy, sustainable technique. Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for auditions, working on songwriting, or looking to strengthen your vocal ability, I create lessons that meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace.
My teaching focuses on:
Vocal technique and vocal health
Breath support and placement
Expanding range and control
Performance confidence and stage presence
Musicality and emotional storytelling
Audition and performance preparation
Contemporary, musical theatre, pop, and alternative styles
As an active performer myself, I understand both the technical and emotional side of performing. I know how vulnerable singing can feel, and I work hard to create an environment where students feel safe to experiment, improve, and express themselves authentically.
Students often describe me as patient, intuitive, encouraging, and deeply invested in their progress. I’m passionate about helping artists discover their voice — not just technically, but creatively and emotionally as well.
If you’re looking for a teacher who combines strong technique with creativity, positivity, and real-world performance experience, I’d love to work with you!
