About Justin
Hello! If you want fun, interesting lessons to get started or progress with rock, blues, pop, folk, or metal guitar, you've come to the right place! With 15 years playing guitar (along with 7 years of piano and bass, 13 years of performance, and 7 years of teaching guitar) under my belt, I can help you improve in various aspects of guitar playing, including theory, fundamentals, songwriting, performance, and ear training. 1 - Gather info on what a new student is looking for (genre, current skill level, areas of focus, etc).
2 - Create a list of goals by week or by lesson, and map out a plan to attain those goals in an accessible, fun way.
3 - At the beginning of each lesson, check in on each goal, possible areas of difficulty, and how to reach the next goal on the list.
4 - Build a repertoire of skills and songs with the student over time, adding in songs that will help the student grow as a guitarist, performer, and overall musician.
