About Jamie

Wouldn't it be a great oppertunity if students could try a variety of instruments and musical talents instead of only one?

At Singer's Music School, students get to learn vocals, drums, piano, ukulele, and guitar! After learning and trying out a variety of instruments, students will choose one to focus on.

students will meet other musicians in the program and perform in a group as well as perform a solo at the end of their course.

Instead of choosing one thing and possibly not enjoying it, why not experience it all and decide what you love best? :)

I went to college to become a teacher. I always knew I wanted to teach and music has always been a passion of mine.

Jamie Singer has been in several bands herself including jazz choirs in high school and college, rock and roll bands, country, and pop. She has been a full time worship leader at three different churches.

Most of all, Jamie has her teaching degree and license. She has taught at classical charter schools with students kindergarten through eighth grade. She has also taught in public schools as well as private schools for over five years.

About the lesson

Before working with a new student, I will send a questionnaire and information about my business to the client.
I like to know what previous musical background the student has.
Either way, I can take beginners, intermediate, or advanced and help them get to where they want to be.

I have worked with students ranging from 5 to 16 years old.
I have worked with all different students, all different ages, and all different backgrounds,

There is no limit.

I would make sure that they have at least 5 years of experience like I do. I would make sure they are well versed in many topics in music. For example I can teach many different instruments and voice to help a variety of people. I would also look at reasonable costs, and for teachers that truly want to help you grow and make a difference.

I recently put on a beautiful assembly at the classical school I teach music at.

The students performed Flow My Tears by John Dowland with the Lute instrument in the background. This was a challenging song becuase the time signature changes throughout the song and there are many high vocabulary words. My students did it beautiful and had a standing ovation.
