About Steve
Acoustic guitar lessons!
I'm very comfortable working with new players, will work at their pace, and make sure they’re comfortable with the guitar and work with their style and goals. I'll also show you some basics on shopping for a guitar, how to change strings, how to tune a guitar, explain the fretboard and octaves.
I can do lessons in person or via Zoom meetings.
The guitar is a beautiful instrument. Learning about it, listening / watching other players, just sharing with students why we love the instrument is really cool.
Ive always been teaching guitar in some form or another with friends. I've decided to take the experience to this website here to share my knowledge, work with people taking that first step into the guitar.
I've been playing guitar since 1985, very comfortable working with new players. Ive taught a few friends basic guitar, I also play regularly, I also write music too.

First, get them comfortable with touching, handling the guitar. Often times new players are hesitant to really feel the guitar out. Another good way to begin is to explain the instrument to them, how its laid out, going over the fretboard, octaves, basic chords.

Details
My minimum lesson time is one hour per day per student.
Students can spread lessons over several days, weeks, and months.
My rates are:
$35/hr for a single lesson.
$100 for 4 lessons a month, one lesson a week.
