About George
After touring all 50 states in 2016, our band (my wife and I) decided to slow down and start our family in TN. I have been providing lessons to all age groups for quite some time, and love helping people grasp their instrument on another level. Anywhere from beginner to advanced level students welcome! I'm most proficient in Mandolin, but can also teach guitar, banjo, bass, harmonica, bones, and theory.
Private lessons fresh out of high-school. My music teacher recommended me to one of her old students, and since then I have worked with the Seminole Tribe of Florida for lessons, as well as my church.
Over 15 Years of study, and application of theory knowledge in live performance.

Mostly young beginners, but I have tutored older and more advanced players along the way!
Make sure you find someone flexible, and willing to learn your musical tastes, so you can find joy in music. Find someone who is willing to invest in you, and be available when you have questions about a lesson.
Musically, our tour, we managed to play music in all 50 states in under a year. It was magical. Otherwise, the birth of my son was pretty much the greatest thing I've physically witnessed.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure you are prepared to practice at home, it takes more than a half hour once a week to learn an instrument. Be willing to learn some (seemingly) boring lessons, in order to grow in your musical walk!
