About McKenna
I teach piano and guitar and have worked as an instructor at Belmont Music Studio and a show director at School of Rock in Huntington Beach. My students really enjoy their instruments. I try to help ease the intimidation factor and remind them why they started playing. I like to focus on goal setting and confidence building because these are the tools that feed a passion to learn! I've worked with students of all ages and always tailor my lessons to their individual interests.
I love seeing my students have a-ha moments. Music is universal and theraputic- and it should be fun! I like to show my students how to practice in a way that keeps them motivated. I've worked with students who want to learn sheet music, master a classical piece or write their own songs. Can't wait to meet you! :D

The first lesson is typically getting to know the student and what they wish to accomplish in their lessons. I aways try to leave new students with something small they can practice if they're beginners. If they're more seasoned I try to leave them with a plan!
