About Travis
I am passionate about sharing my love for music with others and help others achieve not only an understanding of guitar but also music theory. I have only been teaching for about 8 months, and I have mostly taught online. I graduated with a bachelors degree in classical guitar performance in may of 2020.
I started online with another website and taught a few coworkers. I also had some practice lessons at school. I am still new to teaching and have a lot to learn but that is the beauty of it. I am learning as much as my students are.
I have a balechors degree in guitar performance from Southwestern Seminary. During my time there I took a few guitar pedagogy classes.

I usually teach them about the parts of the guitar and how to hold the guitar. I ask them about their history with the instrument and what made them intrested and taking lessons. I ask them what goals do they have for themselves and what they expect to get out of the lessons.
I have taught children as young as 6 and students as old as 65. I try to be as versatile as I can.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where do I see myself in 6 months from now? What styles of guitar playing interest me the most? Is being able to read music important as a guitarist, and if so why? Who are some of the guitarists and musicians that influenced or inspired me to play?
