About Joshua

Music is in my blood. It's a passion that runs deper than my memory. I love to educate people on the joys that music and learning an instrument can bring and help them become the musicians they always dreamed of.

I am a university trained musician with over 28 years of experienced. Trained on the violin, guitar, bass guitar and drums, I teach lessons for each of these instruments ranging from beginner to advanced skill levels.

I have traveled the country performing with national acts and orchestras such as The Florida Orchestra and Souled Out Quartet. I have been blessed to play on stage at Carnegie Hall and The Orange Blossom Opry in Florida.

I have taught in multiple states including Connecticut, Florida, and Mississippi. Throughout my time as a teacher, I have constructed a curriculum that is enjoyable for the students while producing skilled and able musicians. I try to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where students can feel comfortable growing in their knowledge and prowess.

About the lesson

First, I assess the student's experience. If the student is a fresh beginner, I talk with the student or their guardian on how to provide the most engaging music education while including the skills and knowledge they need to become the musician they hope to be.

If they have previous experience, I assess whether or not there are any techniques we need to work on, and then we discuss their music goals and how we can get them from where they are to where they want to be.
