About Tyler
I am an accomplished guitarist and bass player, among other instruments who has been playing for almost 20 years. I am experienced in different styles and love all types of music. My professional career is as a teacher so I am well-versed in teaching difficult content through various methods and to varied audiences. I composed and produce my own music from a home studio using Logic Pro, thus I am quite familiar with this program as well. My favorite styles to play are blues, rock, acoustic, latin, prog rock, hard rock, and metal. I am a teacher in my professional life (German, not music) and thus am familiar with working with students and the learning process. I have also been playing guitar for almost 20 years, as well as bass, keyboard, and percussion. I also produce my own music so I am familirar with the production and promotion parts of the music world as well.

About the lesson

First, I introduce the student to the instrument and give a bit about my background as well. I always try to develop a rapport with my students right away because this leads to a stronger partnerships and yields better results. Because students really want to play the guitar, I try to introduce them quickly to simple songs to they feel that they are progressing quickly. I like to introduce various finger excercises early on as well to start building the finger strength and dexterity needed to be an accomplished player.
