About Rob
I have been teaching music professionally for over 30 years. My approach to teaching covers both a commitment to fundamentals and an emphasis on fun and creativity. I have great rapport with students of all ages and skill levels and have taught music at Elementary and Middle Schools, and as University Faculty.

I like to take the first lesson at a casual pace; I might ask a student what music they listen to or like, or what instruments they may have played before. I might play some music for the student in order to show them what kind of fun is in store, or print some pages out from various methods and ask them which style they prefer. Once we’ve gotten acquainted, we would start to work on basic instrument skills, mixed with music games and some basic theory.
