I take an assessment and then sort out the course of action for their specific goals. I tend to give some exercises the first lesson.
All ages from 7 to 77. Beginners, seasoned pros and disabled.
It is hard to know who to trust and so many seem like they can help but I find that many including college professors don't fully understand certain theory concepts enough to teach it properly. They simply reiterate what they learned in school and the old information fails.
I can physically do things that most people on the planet can't do on guitar so I tend to give the best advice since I can actually do these things.
I often get a student to finally understand something others have failed to help them understand. The clarity they get makes me very happy.

Allen has guitar down to a science. My technique improved within a few weeks of taking lessons and I saw nothing but progress from there. On top of that he is very knowledgeable about music theory and can teach you just about any kind of style you want to know.
