David is an amazing teacher. In fact - he could teach just about anything! He is in "tune" with what you are trying to learn, and for me has helped me learn classical, blues, folk - as well as any type of song I want. He works with your strengths, is patient, and really helps you improve.

My experience with David has been very good. What has worked for me (thinking that each student /teacher dynamic will be different, as people learn in different ways) is going into each session with no agenda other than my questions and curiosity. The result can be described as more guitar/music theory than just guitar. I have been learning the "how and why" of melody, harmony, chord shapes, neck positions, dynamics, playing with others, etc. David's solid understanding of music theory allows him to teach his students how to successfully play guitar, and other instruments.

David is non-judgmental and warm. He was able to meet me where I was and to create lessons that worked with my learning style. He is patient, good humored, and big hearted! I recommend him to everyone I know who's curious about guitar (or any of the other instruments he teaches). Highly recommend!
