About Aaron
I have over 10 years experience working in various graphic and digital design positions for big companies. This includes but is not limited to print design, branding, logo design, user interface design, user experience design, and simple web design.
I can teach people how to use several graphic design programs ranging from Adobe products like Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator to the user interface design tool Sketch, the prototyping tool InVision, and more.
In most of my positions I have done a bit of mentoring and teaching. It's very rewarding to pass on the knowledge I have learned to help someone who is just starting out.
On a more broad level, design touches just about everything we do. Design, good or bad, can affect the way we navigate through airports, how we order food, and how we feel about a given product when seeing some marketing collateral. When you combine good design with empathy for the user/audience, you can do some very powerful things.
I have a bachelors degree in art history and a UX Design certification from General Assembly.

I like to assess their skill level, find out what programs they want to use and go from there. It's not always important to study the history of graphic design so I try to work with real, every day practical assignments like they might see in the job world.
