About Yint Yint
Hi everyone, I am Mercy, and I love teaching children. I started teaching 6 years ago as a private math tutor to make some pocket money while studying at a local university here. After a while, I slowly realized that I loved this job and thus kept going. What I love most about teaching is when the children improve in their subjects. I believe both the tutor and students are responsible for this. I am soft-spoken, calm, and kind. One day, I hope to open an Arts and English learning center for underprivileged children in my home country (Myanmar) :)

About the lesson

Typical lessons range from 1-1.5 hours. The first lesson assesses the student's level in the subject. I follow the PINTAR (SASBADI) workbook as the main book and Daily math book (GEETHA) as the sub workbook. Before doing a topic, I will explain to them the general rules and knowledge needed, then proceed with the exercises. If the student struggles to understand a topic, I will give them more topical practice exercises from the Daily math or other resources. At the end of every topic, students will take a test to see if they have understood the topic well. After lessons, 2-3 pages of homework will be assigned to them.
