About Sterling

I have grown up fishing the lakes and rivers of Arkansas. I want to share my passion for this sport and my appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us. My greatest joy is catfishing. But crappie, stripers, walleye, bream, or anything that will take the bait is good too. I know how to read waters and find the fish. I recently won biggest fish and first place In a tournament on a lake I had never fished before. We will have a great time learning and fishing together. I can help with your rigging, casting, jigs, bait, reading fish finders, trading bodies of water, etc. we will have a great time and set you up for a future of fishing. I am willing to travel to you, or you can come fish in my neck of the woods.

I started teaching with family and friends. Then requests started rolling in by word of mouth, or after being recognized from YouTube videos, tournaments, derbies, etc. I've been told I have a good way of explaining things and making it fun.

While I have taken some aquaculture and environmental courses that have aided me, my main source of knowledge and experience is that I grew up fishing. I learned all I know from those that came before and share the waters with me now. I fish all year round, I fish all types of water, and I fish for many different species. My methods are proven and successful and most of all fun.

About the lesson

We will talk through what your experience has been and what your fishing goals are. Then I will customize our sessions together to meet you where you are knowledge wise and build a good foundation for fishing and and enjoying the great outdoors.

I have worked with all types, from young children fishing for the first time, to experienced anglers just looking for local knowledge. I also work with handicapped students, seniors, disabled vets. If you want to fish, let's go!

Most recently I won a catfish tournament at Lake Dardanelles and I also won biggest fish! It was a great experience and the best part was the fellowship of like minded anglers fishing for fun.
